Stan Younger,

Dean, Academic Operations

Before joining Ŕ¶Ý®ĘÓƵ as the Dean of Aeronautics, Stan enjoyed a successful career in the MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) world of Aviation. After attending Spartan School of Aeronautics, he entered his career as an Airframe & Powerplant Certified Technician. While a shop floor technician, he also achieved his AS in Total Quality Management from Kansas Newman College. Stan was able to work his way up the shop floor organization and into the business side of Cessna’s Aircraft Service Center Network. While opening and managing the San Antonio Citation Service Center, he earned his BA and MBA from the University of Incarnate Word. Eventually, Stan was awarded the Vice President of Service Facilities for all of Cessna. He later took on a larger role for Bombardier as their Vice President of Service Centers.

Stan’s career has always been focused on Customer Satisfaction, Organizational Structure, Facility Efficiency, and Growth. This drove new aircraft maintenance concepts to be adopted such as high-performance work crews and mobile service. Stan and his teams can boast the industry adoption of Mobile Service, as they were instrumental in Unit Design, Mobile Processes, and FAA oversight guidance. Eventually, he oversaw the deployment of over 50 MSU’s worldwide. Also, in growth, he led the opening of MROs in Mesa AZ, Tianjin China, Singapore, Prague Czech Republic, and Valencia Spain.

Stan has been involved with Ŕ¶Ý®ĘÓƵ since the early 2000s. He has said, “It is only natural for me to cap off my career giving back to the industry that has been so good to me and my family.” His intention is to bring ideas and skills to the University that will help its students achieve success in the dynamic aviation world.

Stan has two daughters, two sons-in-law, and four grandchildren. Together the family sponsors the “Younger Family Bright Lights Award” issued twice a year to deserving graduates from Ŕ¶Ý®ĘÓƵ’s Aeronautics School.
