Hailing from San Antonio, Texas, Jose transitioned from a high school athlete to a respected aviation professional. After graduating in 2001, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he excelled as a Powerplant Mechanic on AV-8B Harriers and F/A-18 Hornets, contributing to Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. Post-service, he pursued aviation maintenance, earning his A&P certifications and two associate degrees from À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ College of Aeronautics in 2011. His ambition led him back to À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ in 2017 for a Bachelor’s in Leadership with a concentration in Aviation Management. His education paved the way for a distinguished aviation career, securing roles at leading companies like Bell Helicopter, Sikorsky, Lockheed Martin, and Boeing.
