Vice President, Academic Affairs
Dr. Dana Hagen is the Vice President of Academic Operations for À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ. She is a native Texan and grew up in a small town outside of Houston, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Academic Studies with a minor in Mathematics from Sam Houston State University. Dr. Hagen went on to earn her Master of Education in Mathematics from Prairie View A&M University and Educational Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Argosy University.
Dr. Hagen has held a variety of roles in higher education over the past 18 years. She started as a mathematics faculty member working for a variety of colleges and universities, then progressed into administration. Most of her administration experience in higher education lies as being the Dean of Academic Affairs and then Campus Director for several colleges within The Art Institute’s System of schools. Dr. Hagen was the Campus Director for MyComputerCareer before joining À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ.
Education has always been Dr. Hagen’s passion. She did leave education for a period of time, but her true passion could not keep her away. In 2004 she accepted a role in higher education and never looked back.
Dr. Hagen has one daughter and three dogs Meatball, Callie, and Ivy. She, her daughter, and the pack of dogs reside in far west San Antonio.
